It’s that time of year again. You and your friends are headed to an isolated cabin by the lake for joy, jokes, and jests. Sure, you’ll be alone in the woods with no internet, no cell service, and only a dirt road in and out, but it’s a free cabin for the whole weekend. Time to PARTY! But this time is different- all hell will break loose and only one of you will make it out alive.
Though all of you want to survive, only one can be the Final Girl (a title, gender is a construct). You’ll all have to fight, scheme, and outwit the Killer while trying to escape with your friends. Some of you will die, but that’s a risk you’ll have to take.
Cabin in the Woods is a horror/comedy roleplaying game for 2-5 players and one GM. Players choose from one of six character classes inspired by tropes from TV horror movies and compete to identify their Killer and complete secret objectives! Will you play as a muscle-headed jock or a hardheaded skeptic? Maybe you're a former cheerleader with an attitude problem or a nerd with a hyperfixation. The only thing that matters is that you have what it takes to survive.
Beginner-Friendly, Rules-Lite, and All-Inclusive
This RPG was designed with newbies in mind but can be enjoyed by veterans. Rules are written assuming you've never played another RPG before. Character creation is streamlined, with each player only needing to pick a class and one of two special abilities per class. Games typically take 2-3 hours, and secret objectives and plot twists give plenty of replay value. The game is perfect for Halloween and Creepmas gatherings with family or friends, even if they don't know the difference between a d6 and a d20.
Cabin in the Woods is inclusive of all races, faiths, disabilities, and sexual identities and orientations. The movies this game parodies are typically horror and predominantly starring straight able-bodied white people; by no means does your story have to fit these parameters. The game and how you want to experience it is effortlessly tailored as you see fit for the comfort and enjoyment of you and your friends.

Hello, I had a question! (｡･∀･)ﾉﾞI was looking through the playbook and noticed that in the section for The Killer's rules, there's mention of "The Virgin" and "The Scholar" as if they're classes but they aren't named in the list of character classes.
Does "the Scholar" just refer to The Nerd and "The Virgin" to The Baby?
